Charlie Gard will be buried with his ‘beloved’ toy monkeys, say Charlie’s heartbroken parents.
Connie Yates and Chris Gard fought for month’s to try and get treatment for Charlie abroad in the hope that it may improve his rare genetic condition.
But Charlie died on Friday just a week before his first birthday. They had hoped to be able to take him home to die, but that was not possible, or, ultimately have a while longer in a hospice with him – but that wasn’t to be either.
Connie Yates said recently, “We should be planning Charlie’s first birthday, but instead we are planning his funeral.”
