Autumn Winter 2014 : Ready to Wear Collection

The Autumn Winter 2014 ready-to-wear collection by bespoke tailor Thom Sweeney continues to raise the bar in British sartorial menswear.

Following the successful ready-to-wear collection debut in Spring Summer 2013, the collection is constructed around two key silhouettes; a more structured British inspired cut for formal daywear, business or evening and softer more casual silhouette which consist of cashmere knits, overcoats and textured suiting.

The formal suiting is comprised of a structured, thicker shoulder pad and roped sleeve, using worsted wool from English wool mill, Holland and Sherry. In contrast is the relaxed tailoring in gutsy flannel, in more supple Barberis Italian wool.

All suiting within the collection remains a take on the house silhouette; a two button notch lapel signature cut suit.

Deconstructed suiting in chunky basket weave wool, employ a casual spirit which is portrayed through a softer shoulder and chunkier flannels creating a textured feel.

The knits are Scottish medium gauge merino wool and are introduced for the first time for the Autumn Winter season. The cardigans sit effortlessly under the tailoring.

Overcoats also make their debut and follow the collection’s trend of two silhouettes; one a structured cashmere slim fit coat with three buttons, patch pockets and notch lapels, the other a more relaxed, straight fit in textured wool-cashmere, also featuring a patch pocket and notch lapels.
