FAY

WOMEN’s AUTUMN/WINTER COLLECTION 2015

The Fay catwalk opens a new season of style courtesy of tommaso Aquilano and Roberto Rimondi.

For this collection, the urban chic look, in the context of luxury daywear, perfectly embodies the brand philosophy: rethinking masculine fashion details into feminine ones through careful techniques, creating unexpected, varied and eclectic looks.

The collection is inspired by hallmark pieces of sportswear but reinterpreted in a highly sophisticated manner: it is intended for a demanding woman with an increasingly dynamic lifestyle who is always on the lookout for a feminine yet “real”  wardrobe, expressing a  now boundless modernity.

The central theme for the season is houndstooth: British inspiration applied to truly Italian materials.

Refined overlay work creates a fresh aesthetic, while materials such as patent leather, flannel and hide combine for intriguing 3D effects.

Forms range from short lines focused around the waist to confidently flowing fits.

A masculine grey dominates; it’s formality lightened by intense tones of yellow, green and Bordeaux. Touches of fur are paired with softening natural shades.

Strongly distinctive, the playful finishes and details highlight the traditional Italian sartorial techniques employed.
