A Charity Track Day in Goodwood (UK) on June the 4th, the first charity event supported by the world’s most prestigious automobile club.
London, June 2018 – Rare cars and charity met during an event full of charm on June 4th at the historical Goodwood racetrack, in England, hosted by the Supercar Owners Circle (SOC), the world’s most discerning car collectors network. An event fostered by Florian Lemberger – who founded SOC in 2014 – to support the Laureus Sport for Good foundation, which uses the positive power of sport to tackle society’s most pressing challenges around the globe, including social challenges faced by children and young people such as violence and crime, discrimination, lack of education, unemployment and preventable diseases.
Collectors of the world’s rarest cars met at the Goodwood Circuit to enjoy a mix of speed and elegance, in the presence of Laureus Ambassador and former F1 champion David Coulthard. He inaugurated the asphalt, before unique supercars such as a Mercedes CLK GTR, a Porsche GT1 and a Jaguar C-Type found their way to the racetrack.
During the day participants enjoyed a presentation of the Zenvo TSR-S, the Danish supercar that was unveiled at the latest Geneva International Motorshow.
An event highly awaited that ended with a touch of glamour: a gala dinner hosted between the georgian walls of Goodwood House, in British style and culinary excellence.
The SOC Charity Track Day is the second event of 2018 after Milan in May, when Bulgari launched the exclusive SOC Octo Tourbillon Sapphire watch to celebrate its partnership with the supercar club.
Next 2018 events will be the SOC Weekend Switzerland on September 1st and 2nd, and in Abu Dhabi and Dubai on December 2nd, to celebrate the 47th UAE National Day.
