Before The Queen Made Her Speech Yesterday, Requesting For Prince Charles To Succeed Her At The Commonwealth Heads Of Government Meeting, Prince Charles Made A Charming Statement Of His Own.
He Said “For My Part, The Commonwealth Has Been A Fundamental Feature Of My Life For As Long As I Can Remember,” And Recounted Many Happy Memories.
The Queen, Prince Charles & Prince William Hosted An Exquisite Banquet For Leaders Of The Commonwealth At Windsor Castle Last Night
Outgoing Commonwealth Chair Prime Minister Joseph Muscat Said He Was ‘Elated’ By Prince Charles’ Vigour For Participating In The Commonwealth.
The Queen Has Publicly Endorsed Prince Charles As Her Successor Of The Commonwealth (For When The Time Comes) During The Opening Ceremony Of A Commonwealth Summit For World Leaders.
The Position Is Not Automatically Held By The British Monarch, But Today The Queen Made Her Thoughts Clear To All.

The Queen Said During Her Speech “It remains a great pleasure and honour to serve you as Head of the Commonwealth and to observe, with pride and satisfaction, that this is a flourishing network.
The modern Commonwealth has a vital role to play in building bridges between our Countries, fairer societies with them and a more secure World around them.
It is my sincere wish that the Commonwealth will continue to offer stability and continuity for future generations, and will decide that one day The Prince of Wales should carry on the important work started by my father in 1949.
By continuing to treasure and reinvigorate our associations and activities, I believe we will secure a safer, more prosperous and sustainable world for those who follow us: a World where the Commonwealth’s generosity of Spirit can bring it’s gentle touch of healing and hope to all.”
We feel sure that Prince Charles will do a great job when the time comes. He has a very gentle but positive manner, who is sure to guide everyone in the right direction, with purely goodness in mind. Both he and Camilla get totally “into the Spirit” of every occasion. Plus, he never seems to take himself too seriously, and that’s what we love about him.
So we are in for an exciting ride, and hopefully many more speeches like the one below which he made in Australia…
