PRABAL GURUNG

SPRING/SUMMER 2013

In what can only surely be described as ‘every woman’s dream collection’, Prabal Gurung presented feminine, fluid pieces, which can be worn separately, or as he showed throughout the collection, gently layered over each other.

Sheer, loose fitting dresses and long jackets with ruffles or little trains were layered over trousers, and sometimes shorts with dropped waists, made from raw silk.  A tuxedo style jacket with matching trousers was layered over a dress with a sheer tunic and dropped waist, adorned with exquisite beading, keeping evening wear casual.

Elsewhere, long sheer dresses, with ruffles or shiny silver applique breezed down the runway, and dresses either with high or bustier necklines, some with a ‘touch of the wild west’, and others embellished with beading and feathers.

On the whole, the collection is versatile enough to be worn from dawn til dusk, whilst looking feminine, chic and above all, comfortable.
