CROMBIE AUTUMN WINTER 2014 COLLECTION
Inspiration started this season by looking at Crombie’s heritage. With a sharp and tailored silhouette this brought Crombie to its rich history in supplying the military in both the First and Second World Wars. Innovative techniques are applied to traditional garments and updated in new fabrics with a focus on function.
A key piece in the collection is the broken herringbone Crombie coat with hand stitched astrakhan collar. Pea Coats, Great Coats, and Car Coats are present and correct, archive Crombie styles updated in clean, modern, luxury cloths in new lightweights, with polished horn buttons. Militaryinspired trousers in twill sit alongside shirts in micro checks, textures and digital prints. Milano crew
necks and cardigans are all produced in England.
This is all underpinned with a wide range of tailoring featuring contours that fit close to the body, a soft shoulder and sartorial finish. Jackets come in double-breasted and single-breasted styles and full canvas suits in checked wool and cashmere are slim and sharp, to be worn with Cutaway and Tab
collar shirts. Five-fold silk ties are woven and handmade in the UK, whilst scarves feature distorted heritage prints.
The colour palette exudes a rich luxury aspect with Chocolate, Winter White, Moss Green, Blackberry and Granite reflecting the roots of the Crombie story.
The collection comprises accessories, with an exclusive selection of Swaine Adeney Brigg bags, well known around the world for producing fine British hand-made bridle leather goods and Brigg umbrellas.
The complete collection is made in the UK and Italy with an exclusive selection made by one of the oldest and most respected artisan producers in Italy.
