HunkyDory
SPRING / SUMMER 2014 COLLECTION
REMIXED
For Spring/Summer 2014 Hunkydory is inspired by music. The collection reflects your best mix tape referencing different music genres such as rock, grunge, indie and new wave. Influences from the 70’s can be seen in bohemian caftans, suede jerkins with fringes and ankle length dresses with a sophisticated and modern touch. The cont-rasting elements of a bohemian nonchalant attitude, dressed minimalism and daring chicness form an urban collection.
The collection infuses simplicity both in shape and detailing with stripped down pie-ces such as a relaxed but elegant suit in jersey, yet not missing out of the distinct Hunkydory style with rock chic references. Suede pieces, leather pants, mc-jackets and fringe details have become signature pieces and reappears in updated styles. This season Hunkydory also embrace a wider silhouette with loose pyjama pants paired with a flowy blouse and a tailored blazer.
The wider range of tailored pieces also includes pants, vests and shorts which adds a well dressed manor to the unstrained style. New for the season are graphic prints where Hunkydory draws inspiration from North Africa. The bohemian elements reappear in a pearl embroidered skirt as well as pearl beaded details both on flowy caftans, belts and leather bracelets. This season Hunkydory also extends the range of accessories with both tote bags and fringe clutches in suede.
Key colours for the season are black, dirty white, pink ash with contrasting pop colours and ox-blood red. Complementing contrasts are significant for the collection where sheer pieces in chiffon styled with leather pants and a unique feather jacket gives a dressed up yet relaxed feeling. Feel free to make your own mix.
