Mr Zucchelli presented 38 looks to an audience that included New York Rangers’ Henrik Lundqvist, and New York Knicks’ Amar’e Stoudemire and New York Giants’ Victor Cruz, who were all wearing designs by Mr Zucchelli.
The Show featured 12 models who were exclusive to the Calvin Klein S/S 2013 Collection, including Joel M. (2morrow), Paul (Next L.A.), Paddy (Select), Otto (Red), Dae (VNY), Christ Satchel (Soul), and Zac Stenmark (Red Model Management), Jordan Stenmark (Red Model Management).
Mr Zucchelli described the new collection as “All American Sportswear in New, Relaxed Proportions”.
Overall, the cuts were graphic and uniform, focusing on volume and scale. Cropped and generous, lean and slim. Iconic bomber and motorcycle style jackets were shrunken and counter balanced with a tapered, single pleat, tab-front pant. For evening, the tuxedo was elegantly relaxed and updated with a mesh lapel in buff on buff bonded wool or charcoal on black. Tones of blue formed the base of the collection with engineered and abstract prints inspired by California summers.
